If you and your gang love a great family movie just as much as we do, you’ve heard that Hotel Transylvania 3 comes out soon! Here’s a recap of the first two movies that are staples in our home!

The first movie of the monster family trilogy, Hotel Transylvania, showed us sweet vampire Mavis coming of age and meeting and falling in love with human slash faux Frankenstein-related Jonathan when he stumbles up Drac’s lavish 5-stake monster resort. We watch as Dracula tries to juggle his monster family and friends and an ordinary traveler all under one very unique roof.

In the monster comedy adventure Hotel Transylvania 2, things sure start to change for the better in the castle. Despite being worried that his half-human half-vampire grandson, Dennis, isn’t showing signs of being a vampire, Dracula decides to watch the little guy while Mavis and Jonathan are on vacation so that Grandpa Drac and his monster buddies can put Dennis through a “monster-in-training” boot camp!

This summer on July 13 Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation is in theaters! We will join our favorite monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury cruise ship so Drac can take a summer vacation from providing everyone else’s vacation at the hotel. It’s smooth sailing for Drac’s Pack as the monsters indulge in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to exotic excursions, and catching up on their moon tans. But the dream vacation takes a dangerous turn when Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the human captain of the ship, who holds a mysterious secret that threatens them all.
