Hey, its me. Well, you. High school, senior year, is a big time. Glad we decided to go back to guard. And don’t worry, you’ll pull your head out of that severe case of senior-itis you’ve got and pass government. Although you still think he is THE ONE and all of the big plans you’ve got after graduation, things change.
When you take your moms new Nissan Sentra to your friends house, put shoes on and wait an extra 20 seconds at the stop sign. DON’T go to Las Vegas with him, you’ll know what I mean. You’re not fat, no matter who says you are, so live life not worrying about that.
Even though you never saw yourself having children you’ll see what an amazing time you have being a mother. Yes, you have kids, and a husband who’s amazing as well. You’re gonna go through some tough times but do us a favor and reel in the “poor me” act that you let slip a little, that’s life and we’re stronger for it.
At your little brother’s 21st birthday party, don’t EVER put your purse down. We actually end up having a great relationship with Bub. I know, surprising. Make as many hilarious memories with Devin, you’re going to want every bit of them.
Don’t fret about your future because, let me tell you, its pretty great here, I’m proud. Thanks for staying true to us and always being who you are no matter who likes it or doesn’t, it really plays out well as an adult.
Take more pictures. Go where you want to go. Do what you want to do. See what you want to see.

Loved reading this letter to your younger self! It’s amazing how much we learn as we get older. If only I knew some of these things at 17, I would’ve enjoyed the moment so much more instead of trying to rush ahead. Great post!

I absolutely LOVE this. I think about the past all the time. It makes me laugh. Somehow when you’re a teenager, everything seems like life or death, and mostly it isn’t that serious. I would basically tell myself to calm down, enjoy the ride, and that I will end up with everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Thanks for sharing 🙂
