Best Advice For Life: By people who know a thing or two

Advice is everywhere. EVERYWHERE. And usually unwarranted. But there are sometimes you are asking or needing advice. I feel that everyone you meet in life has one great piece of advice for this crazy life we are living. With only 24 hours in each day, everyone uses that time so differently and I am fascinated by the diversity of our world and am open to listening to anything someone may have to say that can benefit my life or someone else’s simply by passing it on.

How often do you stop throughout your day and think “this could be a piece of life-changing wisdom?” As it is pretty evident by now that there either is no secret to life or no one I know has been cool enough to know it yet, I decided to ask my family and friends for the best piece of advice about life that they would give. I loved all the answers and I am passing them all on to you guys in hopes that maybe one of them will resonate with something in your life. Read them, feel them and when the time is right pass them on.

“Always fight for what you want.” – Steven S.

“Don’t let someone talk you into doing something that you don’t feel is right.” – Hugh S.

“Live your life…like no one else’s opinion matters. (because it doesn’t)” – Michael F.

“Look in your babies eyes and know what is real!” – Lisa B.

“Patience, and take responsibility for your own happiness.” – Melanie

“Never say never.” – Sharon B. (Ma)

“There’s always a reason to have a party.” – Patrick T.

“Go with the flow and let things go.” – Brittany S.

I love each and every one of these bits of advice and I agree with them as well. I also have a few of my favorites that I live by, and I hold dear and pass on when I can. Here they are:

Smile all the time, nothing is worth your frown.

Maturity and seriousness are not the same thing. Don’t take yourself too seriously, no on gets out alive.

If a toddler tells you something about yourself, its probably true.

Discipline your children. They may hate it in the moment but years down the line, they’ll love you for it.

If you are doing nothing to change it, don’t complain.

If you can’t change it, don’t dwell on it. It takes more energy to be mad than to be happy.

Why dance to the beat of your own drum? I have a whole band!

And, finally, the one that is always a controversial topic but I follow it nonetheless:

Be honest, ALWAYS, and to everyone even yourself, especially yourself. If they don’t like it, you’ve done nothing wrong.

Like I said, advice is everywhere and here are just a few of the ones I feel strongly about sharing. What are yours?

Happy Mamma
